We are committed to ensuring quality, comprehensive public health services to the citizens of Clay County by monitoring communicable diseases, ensuring safe food and water supplies and providing education for prevention related to having a healthy community.

Further, the Clay County Health Department will play a pivotal role in the coordination and implementation of response measures upon the recognition of a public health threat and/or emergency.

We are also committed to addressing other identified needs within the community. Other services offered are listed below.

Lab Services

Community members needing labs/blood work (processed through LabCorp) will be collected on Mondays from 8:00 am -1:30 pm only. This service is available for a $10 draw fee for any outside provider orders. The draw fee will not be billed to insurance starting July 1, 2022 due to payment issues.

Sick Visits

Short on time? Stop in to see our provider for your acute (sick) care needs.


DOT Physical

DOT Physical per Federal regulations are offered by appointment.


Well Child Screenings

Well child screenings are available by appointment.


Chronic Care

Chronic care is offered to uninsured and underinsured at a discount rate depending on income.


Sports Physicals

CCHD encourages all children to stay active. Leading us to offer free sports physicals all year.


Social Security Administration Physical Exams

These physical exams are scheduled through Social Security Administration.


Blood Pressure

Blood pressure checks are available Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 3:30 pm.

There is no charge for this service.

Services Available at CCWV:

  • Discuss - detox, suboxone, vivitrol, inpatient facility

  • Transportation can be provided to any appointment related to treatment, recovery meetings, and any employment related opportunity

  • Supported approval for Medicaid or low cost insurance

  • Connecting individuals to Jobs and Hope program for help in finding employment

  • Provide support and transportation for those already in recovery


Narcan available in our Community

  • CCWV's Clay Primary Care Pharmacy without prescription.

  • Clay County Health Department without prescription, but administration training required.
